Professional Scope and Licensing Notice

Butternut Therapeutic Nursing Services provides counselling and health coaching within the professional scope of registered nursing, as regulated by the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB).

Our counselling and coaching services are grounded in nursing theory, evidence-based practice, and holistic approaches that support mental, emotional, and physical wellness. These services are distinct from those offered by Licensed Counselling Therapists (LCTs), who are regulated separately under the Licensed Counselling
Therapy Act (Bill 64) by the College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB).

We do not use, nor imply use of, the protected titles “Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT)”, “Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT)”, or any equivalent designations. When appropriate, clients may be referred to or co-managed with an LCT, psychologist, or psychiatrist to best meet your individual needs.
